Each teacher brings their own story — shaped by where they've lived, the languages they speak, and the communities they're part of. Whether they’re introducing their language for just one day or planting a seed that grows into lifelong learning, they aim to make each class feel personal, fun, and meaningful. Most of all, they care about creating a space where everyone feels welcome!

Meagan Driver, PhD
Spanish instructor
Meagan is a Georgetown graduate with over a decade of experience teaching languages to both kids and adults. She comes from an Argentine family and loves creating spaces where language learning feels joyful, welcoming, and connected to real life!

Justin Quam, PhD
German instructor
Justin earned his PhD in German from Georgetown University in 2020 and currently works at a high school outside St. Paul, MN. He is passionate about language learning and cultural exchange and brings energy, patience, and a love for helping learners feel confident from day one!

Christina Takouda, PhD
Modern Greek instructor
Christina is a professor of Modern Greek at the School of Modern Greek Language, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She has a deep love for integrating Modern Greek language, culture, and dance into the language classroom and brings warmth, humor, and rich cultural insight to every class!

Chiu Ue Wan, MSc, MA, HCPC
Mandarin instructor
Chiu is a HCPC-registered art psychotherapist, Chinese language educator, illustrator and former journalist. She obtained her MA with Distinction in Arts & Lifestyle Journalism from the University of the Arts London and holds an MSc in Art Psychotherapy. In early 2022, Chiu founded Twin Voices Chinese School to blend her passions for Cantonese heritage, creative arts, and inclusive education.
